If you’re seeking a cosy retreat for up to four people, Signal Cottage is sure to tick all your boxes!
A holiday here will grant you all the benefits of a rural haven where you can immerse yourself in the magnificent landscape that’s literally on your doorstep, as well as feel part of a thriving English country estate with its wildlife, woodlands, river, and history dating back to the 11th century.
This two-storey holiday home is part of a small terrace of cottages and was once inhabited by a Red House Estate farmhand. The original railway signal that stands outside is a throwback to Red House’s days as a prestigious preparatory school, when the cottage was used as the model railway room.
The ground floor of Signal Cottage features a comfortable sitting and dining room with a woodburning stove, as well as a compact kitchen containing everything you need for a self-catering break. Upstairs, the superking and king-sized bedrooms promise a blissful night’s sleep, while the family bathroom is just across the corridor.
Patio doors overlook the nearby fields and lead into your own secure garden, which offers spectacular views of the rising sun.
